from foootbal365.com
Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson could be about to move for Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre.
Eriksson is keen to bring a left-back into his squad ahead of the new season, and has been linked with Juventus' Georgio Chiellini in recent weeks.
However, reports at the weekend claimed that City have been priced out of a move for the Italian, who could cost anything up to £12 million.
And now the Manchester Evening News reports that Eriksson could make a bid for Silvestre if the Chiellini bid fails.

i'm sure fergie won't let them both go without bringing in a replacement
is daniel alves a left or right back?
if he's a left back then he'd be a great replacement but i don't think we'll get someone as good as him _________________

Sunderland table bid for Man Utd's Smith
Sunderland boss Roy Keane is moving for Manchester United striker Alan Smith.
The Sun says Keane tabled a £6million bid and will speak to his former Manchester United team-mate this week after dropping out of the running last month.
Striker Smith, 26, is wanted by a host of clubs having been told he can leave United.
He is believed to fancy a move abroad and has snubbed Middlesbrough.

does anyone here think the reaon why they are leaving is because the new players and the dont want to end up fighting for their place after getting a full game last season _________________
