Heinze and torres to anfield?according to articles from the sun and the mirror liverpool are eyeing up a £5m swoop for him
i'd hate to see of our current team go to another premiership side especially liverpool
is £5m enough for him? i value him at, at least £8-9m
and i also just read on bbc.co.uk that they (liverpool) are also on the verge of signing torres for around £26.5m
with luis garcia going to athletico for £4.5m

just fount this on manutd.com
Gabriel Heinze concedes he could leave Old Trafford, but it will take interest from a huge club to convince him to give up his 'perfect' life in Manchester.
The popular Argentinian defender has been linked with the Old Trafford exit door since the emergence of Patrice Evra as first-choice left back last season.
A host of top European clubs have been tipped to move for the combative 29-year-old, while surprise tabloid headlines over the weekend credited Liverpool with an interest.
"I already play for one super club and other ones such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus have been mentioned," Heinze is quoted as saying in the Manchester Evening News.
"For me to go the offer has to be good for everyone. I'm very comfortable in Manchester. I've been a champion, captain and the fans love me. Everything is perfect."
Gaby is currently on international duty in Venezuela as Argentina endeavour to reclaim the Copa America, and he is currently devoting all his attention to that goal rather than a prospective transfer

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Gabriel Heinze wants to leave Manchester United.
Heinze has been linked with a summer move after losing his regular left-back slot to Patrice Evra last season.
The Argentinian has been courted by Liverpool, Newcastle United, Real Madrid and Barcelona, although Ferguson has yet to receive a firm bid.
However, the Red Devils manager acknowledged that Heinze is hoping to secure a transfer before the start of the season.
"Gaby's agent has advised us that he wants to move on," said Ferguson.

LIVERPOOL CAN SIGN HEINZE FOR £6m
The Sun says that Gabriel Heinze can become the first player to move between ManYoo and Liverpool in, erm...ages, for £6m.
Describing concerns that ManYoo would block the move in the past tense, the newspaper claims: 'Heinze has been told by United chiefs he can join any club he wishes as long as they come up with that magic figure.
'Old Trafford boss Alex Ferguson has already spent £50m and plans to splash out almost half as much again for Carlos Tevez. He knows he must recoup some of that cash - and Heinze is a realistic way of doing that.'

New news on Heinze
Gabriel Heinze won't commit the greatest mistake of his life: he won't join Liverpool.
The Argentinian left-back could have bought out himself from his contract but did not notice the club of this intention within 15 days from the end of the season, therefore now United decide if they wish to sell him.
While the player is apparently keen on a move, Sir Alex Ferguson announced that he won't be allowed to join our friends down the road.
'I can assure you, Liverpool will not be getting Gabriel Heinze. We can put that to bed right now and we have done so. We have had a couple offers for him and we have turned them down.'
As I had written, he should not risk becoming a traitor in the fans' eyes, for he got very much from them. And, apart from these emotional factors, I still do not understand why he wanted to join a team that's got two left-backs and a manager who is famous for his adoration for the rotation.
Fergie claimed that Heinze's agent had been working on a transfer in the past 18 (!) months which is frankly astonishing - did Gaby really want away in his second season when he was out injured? Difficult to imagine but shows how football agents work these days.
However, our old Scot does not wish to discuss these things via an agent and confirmed that he wishes to speak with Heinze as soon as the defender is back from his extended leave.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed the club's lawyers are working on forcing through a deal for Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze after his initial bid for the player was rejected.
Recent speculation has linked the Reds with an offer in the region of £7million for the Argentina full-back, but any move appeared to have been ruled out by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
But Benitez has refused to back down in his pursuit of the 29-year-old and has revealed: 'We made an offer which they rejected.
'The lawyers are now working on it and so we have to wait. He's a good player.'
Ferguson last week poured scorn on any suggestion he might allow the former Paris St Germain player to leave for his club's bitterest rivals.
He said: 'I can assure you, Liverpool will not be getting Gabriel Heinze.
'We can put that to bed right now and we have done so. We have had a couple offers for him and we have turned them down.'
It later emerged that Heinze had a letter signed by chief executive David Gill promising he could leave if United received a big in excess of £6million - a figure Benitez is thought to have topped.
His representatives were reported to be considering legal action to push through the controversial deal - the first between the two clubs since Phil Chisnall moved to Anfield in 1964 - and it appears the Reds are also now willing to go to court to get their man.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has labelled Liverpool "opportunists" over their bid for Gabriel Heinze.
Liverpool are thought to have bid around £7million for United's Argentina defender - meeting a valuation agreed by letter between player and club - but Ferguson has refused to do business with rival boss Rafael Benitez.
The prospect of legal action remains in the air as the Spaniard seeks to push the deal through but Ferguson is in no doubt that, as a contracted United player, Heinze will be going nowhere without the his say so.

Manchester United defender and Liverpool target Gabriel Heinze is taking legal advice to try and secure his release from Old Trafford.
The Argentina international's representatives have employed a firm of lawyers to see if they can help resolve the ongoing dispute.
Liverpool are keen to sign the full-back but United insist he will not be sold to their fierce Premier League rivals.
However, it emerged recently that the player has a letter signed by United chief executive David Gill claiming he would be free to leave if a £6million bid was received - a figure Liverpool are thought to have matched.

Sry for double post but i found some information....
Heinze In Crunch Talks
Newcastle United target Gabriel Heinze is preparing to fly back from his holiday for crunch talks with Manchester United.
The Argentina defender is threatening to take the Mancs to court on the grounds of their refusal to sell him to Liverpool.
Heinze is contracted to United for another two years but the club's chief executive David Gill gave his agent a letter confirming the figure they would be prepared to sell him for, thought to be around the £6million mark.
Liverpool have offered £6.8m, and Newcastle were reported to have topped that with a bid of £7m. An offer neither Man Utd nor the Magpies have confirmed, but Sam Allardyce did say he tried to sign a defender for that figure (£7m) last week ... but he won't say who it was because the move may not be dead.
Gill claims he made it clear the left-back would not be sold to any of their three major domestic rivals - Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal - but has not ruled out Newcastle.
Heinze: "I am on holiday but may return next week and say more. For now I am a United player. But I am not saying anything else."
The paper claims United have offered Real Madrid and Juventus the chance to sign Heinze in a bid to stop him moving to Anfield.
(This thing looks a bit mixed up, now even italian teams want him but I dont think he will go with them i think its more likely to go with an english team}

Juventus have made it clear they are hoping to sign Gabriel Heinze from Manchester United.
The Argentine has been at the centre of a tug-of-war between Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool are determined to bring in Heinze but Sir Alex Ferguson has stressed that he will not sell to another top English club.
The matter is threatening to turn ugly but United would be prepared to let Heinze go overseas.
Juventus have been linked with Heinze for some time and general manager Jean-Claude Blanc has now confirmed his side's interest.
"We'll have to see if something can happen with Heinze," Blanc said in The Daily Mail.
Meanwhile, reports suggest Juve are prepared to offer Manchester United Raffaele Palladino plus cash for Giuseppe Rossi.
Ferguson recently hinted that Rossi could be set to leave Old Trafford and he has attracted the attention of several top clubs

Gabriel Heinze held discussions with Sir Alex Ferguson on Monday to resolve the row over his proposed move from Manchester United to Liverpool.
Heinze had pledged to report for duty as ordered by Ferguson and duly arrived at United's Carrington training complex on Monday morning following a brief break after his Copa America campaign with Argentina.
Ferguson was eager to speak with Heinze face-to-face to establish his intentions after blaming the 29-year-old's agent for talking up a move to Liverpool, something United are opposed to.
