Bordeaux interested in Silvestrefrom manutd.com
News reports claim French club Bordeaux are preparing a bid for Mikael Silvestre in an attempt to lure the defender back to his home country.
According to Sky Sports News, the France Football publication claim new Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc has contacted the 29-year-old to gauge his interest. Blanc played alongside Silvestre at Old Trafford between 2001 and 2003 when, together with countryman Fabien Barthez, they formed a French triumvirate and the core of United's defense.
A shoulder injury sustained in March and the impressive form of fellow left backs Patrice Evra and Gabriel Heinze limited Silvestre to just 14 league appearances in 2006/07, but the Frenchman reiterated his desire to remain a Red shortly after the season's end.
"I'd never say never about moving back to France, but it's not something I'm thinking about at the moment," Silvestre said.
"I think my future is bright. I have two years left on my contract and I'm looking forward to it. There's enough room [at Old Trafford] for me to express myself next season."
Bordeaux aren't the first club to register interest in the defender. Press reports in May also linked Silvestre with Tottenham and Lyon.

Well I Also Heard Lyon Were Interested In Him And He Did Want To Move Back To His Home Country, France
And He Hasnt Played Much This Season With Heinze And Evra Playing Too
So He Might Want To Play Alot More First Team Football
Also If Heinze Is Going And Silvestre Goes, Then We Might Need Another Left back
