The Rumors Are Not Tottenham Now, But Middlesbrough Who Are After Alan Smith
They Have Inquired About Him And Offered Around £6 Million I Think
But This Seems Alot More Serious Than The Tottenham One
So He Might Be Going

just fount this on teamtalk.com
Middlesbrough will step up their efforts to sign Manchester United striker Alan Smith over the next few days.
Both United and Smith's agent have denied that Boro have been given permission to speak to Smith, with Red Devils chief executive David Gill claiming yesterday that "no firm offers" had been made for the former Leeds player.
However, Gill's Boro counterpart Keith Lamb is hopeful of pushing through a deal when Smith returns from their tour of Asia and claims a fee was agreed earlier this month.
Boro face competition from Everton and Aston Villa among possible others and Lamb said: "Our position hasn't changed.
